‘DigiYatra’ Service To Start At Pune Airport’s New Terminal From 8th February

Pune, 1st February 2025: The long-awaited DigiYatra system will be operational at the new terminal of Pune’s Lohgaon Airport starting 8th February, providing much-needed relief to passengers. The facility will be formally launched in the presence of Civil Aviation Minister Muralidhar Mohol.
While DigiYatra was already functional at the old terminal of Pune International Airport, its implementation at the new terminal had been pending for seven months since the terminal’s inauguration. This delay caused inconvenience to travelers. However, with all necessary approvals and technical procedures now completed, the system is set to enhance the travel experience for domestic flyers.
Launched nationwide on 1st December 2022, the DigiYatra facility has already benefited over 80 lakh passengers, saving a total of over ₹4 crore hours in travel time. Its popularity continues to grow, offering a seamless and efficient airport experience.
As part of Pune International Airport’s ongoing modernization, the implementation of DigiYatra introduces a biometric self-boarding system, enabling passengers to move effortlessly from entry to boarding.
