Domestic maids not allowed for 10 days lockdown in Pune, Pimpri Chinchwad areas

Pune, July 14, 2020: While most of the parts of the country are in the process of unlocking phase -2, Pune has been slammed with 10 days of stringent lockdown amidst the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) cases spiking in the city.

This has led to chaos and confusion amongst people. Housing Societies have been questioning about the domestic help services for the next ten days. The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), Pune, Khadki and Dehruoad cantonment boards, as well as Pune District Collector (23 Gram Panchayats including Wagholi, Hinjawadi etc) has banned domestic maids alongwith various other services from July 14 to 23. The domestic maids cannot go for work.

However, to ensure that senior citizens and patients do not face inconvenience, caretakers/nurses have been allowed to work after taking passes by applying online covid19.mhpolice.in or punepolice.in
