DoRBit Foundation Celebrates 4th Anniversary with Special Friends at Navkshitij NGO  

Pune, 24th November 2024: The DoRBit Foundation NGO recently celebrated its 4th anniversary by visiting Navkshitij NGO, located in Marunjee village, Pune district. Navkshitij is a one-of-a-kind residential rehabilitation home for individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Vipin Mohit Shrivastava, the founder of DoRBit NGO, has been an active volunteer at Navkshitij for over 10 years and shares a deep, personal connection with the residents. With this special bond in mind, he proposed that the DoRBit team commemorate their anniversary by celebrating with the special friends at Navkshitij.

The team began by coordinating with Mr. Santosh Munde, the workshop head, to finalize the visit plans, followed by Mr. Prathmesh Gad, who provided a list of the current needs at the NGO. The DoRBit volunteers then purchased essential items including wheat flour, toilet supplies, cleaning products, stationery, and gardening equipment for Navkshitij. Special thanks to Vijaya Shrivastava, Impa Roy Shrivastava, Shubham Bhave, Sujata Maske, Saroj Ben, Dilpreet Kaur, Deepti Shrivastava, Amit Sharma, Ramneet Kaur, Divya Jyoti, and Aslam Dhanani for their generous contributions.

The visit began with a tour of the workshop, where the special friends create beautiful candles, keychains, and delicious chocolates. To show support, the DoRBit volunteers also purchased several items from the workshop. The team then watched a moving 10-minute film about Navkshitij’s journey, which was deeply emotional as it showcased the happy faces of the residents and the progress the organization has made. Special thanks to Mr. Mahendra Suryavanshi for presenting the video and answering questions from the volunteers. The visit concluded with music and dance, which brought immense joy to everyone present.

The DoRBit team expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the staff for their unwavering dedication and care in supporting the residents of Navkshitij. The event ended with the presentation of the donated items to the residents, and the smiles on their faces made the experience truly meaningful.
