Dr Nirupama Kajla, IDAS, PCDA(O) Pune receives Commendation from Chief of Army Staff

Pune/New Delhi, 29 April 2021: The Office of PCDA(Officers) is responsible for releasing pay and allowances and processing personal claims of over 53,000 serving Indian Army officers from the newly commissioned Lieutenant to Chief of Defence Staff.

Additionally, the office also releases the terminal dues of the retiring Army officers.

During the COVID-19-induced lockdown period last year (2020), the charter of duties of the PCDA(O) office was declared as essential services by the Controller General of Defence Accounts (MoD).

In recognition of the relentless and unceasing efforts made by the PCDA(O) Pune officers and staff under the exemplary leadership of Dr Nirupama Kajla, IDAS, in the discharge of bonafide duties of the office with minimal staff strength despite the COVID-19 outbreak, General Manoj Mukund Naravane, PVSM, AVSM, SM, VSM, ADC, Chief of Army Staff conferred Dr Kajla with a Commendation in New Delhi on April 22, 2021.

The Army chief profoundly praised the performance of Dr Kajla during the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic and showed his immense satisfaction towards tremendous efforts put in by the officers and staff of the PCDA(O) Pune office to ensure timely disbursement of the pay and allowances, settlement of personal claims of the serving Army officers and terminal dues of retiring Army officers.

On this occasion, Dr Kajla promised that committed efforts by the PCDA(O) office shall continue to accomplish the designated targets against all odds to serve all the Army officers.
