Drunk Passenger Allegedly Molests Air Hostess on Delhi-Shirdi Flight; Detained After Landing
Shirdi, 4th May 2025: A male passenger on an IndiGo flight from Delhi to Shirdi was allegedly drunk and molested a flight attendant mid-air, prompting swift action from the airline crew. The incident occurred on Friday afternoon and was confirmed by police on Sunday.
According to police, the accused allegedly touched the air hostess inappropriately near the aircraft’s toilet during the flight. The crew member immediately alerted her crew manager, who notified security personnel upon landing.
“The passenger was detained by airport security after the flight landed at Shirdi airport,” a police officer said. “He was taken to the police station, where a case of molestation was registered against him under relevant sections of the BNS.”
A medical examination later confirmed that the passenger was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have not yet disclosed the identity of the accused. IndiGo has not issued an official statement regarding the matter as of now.
