Pune, 20th January 2024: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts a dry spell in Konkan and Madhya Maharashtra for the next five days, accompanied by a drop in minimum temperatures and increased precipitation. The eastern parts of Vidarbha may experience partly cloudy weather during this period.

A low-pressure line has formed, stretching from South Karnataka to Vidarbha, contributing to the prevailing weather conditions. Additionally, a cyclical wind pattern has emerged in the upper atmospheric layers of North Madhya Maharashtra, leading to elevated humidity levels.

Except for eastern Vidarbha, the state is anticipated to witness dry weather in the coming five to six days. Light fog is expected to blanket most regions for the next two days. In North Maharashtra, rainfall has decreased, and the minimum temperature, which previously dipped below 10 degrees Celsius, has stabilized around 11 degrees Celsius. Jalgaon recorded the lowest temperature at 11.3 degrees Celsius on Friday.

Notably, the Meteorological Department suggests that dry weather conditions will persist until January 26. The reduction in rainfall in North Maharashtra aligns with this projection.
