Extramarital Affair Takes Dark Turn in Pune; Woman Ties Up Lover, Beats Him to Death With Cricket Bat

Talegaon Dabhade, 16th June 2025: An extramarital affair took a deadly turn in Talegaon Dabhade, Pune, when a married woman brutally murdered her lover, who was also married. The incident occurred on 12th June in Induri village near Talegaon Dabhade. The accused allegedly tied up her lover and beat him to death with a cricket bat.

The deceased has been identified as Kamal Ramdayal Madhukar (30), a resident of Induri and a native of Chhattisgarh. His sister filed a complaint at the Talegaon MIDC Police Station, following which the police arrested the 30-year-old accused woman from Induri. A case has been registered under Section 103(1) (punishment for murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

According to police sources, Kamal and the accused had been in a relationship for the past four years despite both being married. They worked as laborers and were frequently involved in arguments, mostly over whether to continue the affair. The woman reportedly wanted to end the relationship, which led to repeated conflicts.

On the night of 12th June, around 9 PM, Kamal allegedly visited the woman’s house in an intoxicated state. A heated argument broke out, during which the woman tied his hands and legs and assaulted him with a cricket bat, inflicting serious injuries. Kamal was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

Police have taken the woman into custody. The deceased, Kamal, had a wife and four children, while the accused woman has a husband and one daughter. Police Sub-Inspector Relekar from Talegaon MIDC Police Station is leading the investigation.
