Fire Brigade Deployed Along Pune-Pandharpur Route for Ashadhi Wari Pilgrimage

Pune, 20th June 2025: As the annual Ashadhi Wari pilgrimage brings the palkhis of Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj and Sant Tukaram Maharaj through Pune with lakhs of devotees in tow, the Pune Municipal Corporation’s Fire Department has deployed special teams along the pilgrimage route to ensure emergency preparedness.

This year too, a dedicated fire response team comprising one fire tender, an officer, and six personnel will accompany the palkhi procession from Alandi to Pandharpur. The deployment is part of a proactive disaster management plan aimed at responding to any fire-related or emergency incidents during the Wari.
