First Time Pune Railway Division transported vehicles to Bangladesh

Pune August 27, 2020: The Pune Railway Division regularly carries a variety of commodities including sugar, oil products in many areas of the country. Then across the country will be appropriate. But the first time the division transported cars through railways to Bangladesh.

 

Recently the Business Development Unit constituted by the Railways has been successful in getting new business by taking initiative with its active efforts. The Transport Corporation of India has chosen to send its product via rail to Bangladesh, showing special interest in this direction, considering the special features of the railways for speedy transportation, economical rates, safe operations.

 

“75 pick-up vans from Chinchwad railway station of Pune Railway Division were loaded in the first batch and sent to Benapole, Bangladesh, 2139 km away from Pune. This work plan was done under the guidance of Divisional Railway Manager(DRM) Renu Sharma. Special efforts are made by Additional Divisional Railway Manager (ADRM) Saharsh Bajpai, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Sunil Mishra and other senior officials,” said Manoj Jhawar, Spokesperson of Pune Railway Division.

 

Through the active and joint efforts of the team of the Department of Commerce and Operations under the leadership of Senior Divisional Operations Manager Dr Swapnil Nila, better marketing has been made possible with the support of Transport Corporation of India.
