The food items which contain more fat, salt and sugar are called as high fat Sodium and sugar (HFSS) food items. By consuming more sugar, there are chances of obesity and diabetes. The increase in weight of girls and boys is at the rise. The consumption of more salt is also one of the factor. The food items including the HFSS component are brought in the market after attractive advertisements. They are inexpensive and attractively packaged. These are consumed by the girls and boys and they are making it a habit. Due to this the proteins are carbohydrates which were essential for the body and provided to body through fruits and vegetables and the home cooked food, is now lacking in the children as they are after the HFSS. The food safety and Standards Authority of India has given some guidelines which are to be implemented in the entire state in government, semi-Government and private schools. This has been given approval on 3rd May 2019.
Along with studies, the children should get complete nutritious food and it is mandatory for them for the growth.
