From Bollywood to Politics…the journey hasn’t been easy, Kangana Ranaut changed her mind for this reason after 2019.

Mandi, 28th March 2024: Actress Kangana Ranaut’s desire to enter politics has been fulfilled by the BJP (Bhartiya Janta Party). She is set to contest elections from a high-profile seat in Himachal Pradesh. The journey from Bollywood to politics has been full of ups and downs. The actress had never even remotely considered politics, so what finally led her to decide to enter politics?

Actress Kangana Ranaut has once again sparked controversy on social media. Recently, after receiving a ticket from Mandi, an objectionable post was shared from the social media handle of Congress leader Supriya Shrinet. After the controversy arose, Shrinet clarified the matter. Moreover, amidst this controversy, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukkhu referred to Kangana as the daughter of the state. He also mentioned the significant contributions made by her father to the Congress party.

In 2014, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP government came into power. This was the same year when Kangana Ranaut’s film “Queen” was released, giving her a separate identity. She wielded considerable influence in Bollywood at that time. Until 2019, Kangana Ranaut was heard saying in various programs that she had no intention of entering politics. So, what happened in those three years that made her decide to enter politics?

In 2020 when actor Sushant Singh Rajput died under mysterious circumstances, Kangana Ranaut became vocal on social media and also advocated for justice. During this time, she also criticized the Mumbai Police in a post on social media and also raised her voice against the drug and film mafia racket. She expressed her lack of trust in the Mumbai Police because they ignored Sushant Singh Rajput’s complaint. Following this, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut made a statement, suggesting that if Kangana fears the Mumbai Police, she should not come to Mumbai. Subsequently, Kangana posted another message on social media in which she wrote, “Sanjay Raut has openly threatened me and I have been told not to come to Mumbai. Freedom graffiti in the streets of Mumbai and now open threats. Why is Mumbai giving a feeling like Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir?” Maharashtra’s Home Minister Anil Deshmukh then stated that if someone is criticizing Mumbai, they have no right to stay in the city. Sanjay Raut also supported Anil Deshmukh’s statement. The controversy did not end there. After this, Kangana Ranaut was suddenly sent a notice by BMC regarding illegal construction and a part of her office located in Mumbai was demolished. “Today my house is broken, tomorrow your arrogance will be broken,” Kangana said. After this incident, Kangana reached Mumbai from Himachal Pradesh and then made an attack on Uddhav Thackeray in a video post. In this video, she said, “What do you think? You have taken revenge on me by colluding with the film mafia and breaking my house? Today my house is broken, tomorrow your arrogance will be broken. This is the wheel of time, remember, things don’t always remain the same.” Kangana demanded Y Plus security, writing a letter to former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jairam Thakur. In it, she referred to herself as the daughter of Himachal. After getting security, Kangana started supporting the BJP.

In the Ram Temple issue, Kangana stated that it was a struggle of 500 years and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath played an important role in it as well. In 2015, Virbhadra Singh had a government in Himachal Pradesh. At that time, when they were creating new schemes to promote tourism, former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh was considering Kangana to make her the brand ambassador of Himachal Pradesh. However, it did not materialize at that time. In 2022, Kangana’s father Amardeep Singh mentioned in an interview with Dainik Jagran that his daughter wants to enter politics. After this, there were reports that the BJP could offer her a ticket from the Mandi constituency, which indeed happened.

Kangana’s great-grandfather who served a Congress MLA:

– Sarju Singh contested the election from the Trifalghat assembly constituency in 1951.
– He defeated independent candidate Kaanshi Nath with 67 votes.
– Sarju Singh received 1376 votes.
– Great-grandfather Sarju Singh received 24.77 percent of the votes.

“Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national leadership has given me a Lok Sabha ticket from my birthplace Mandi. I will strive to live up to the trust expressed by the top leadership.”
