Free Drinking Water Facility Introduced For Passengers At Pune, Kolhapur, Satara, Miraj Stations
Pune, 24th June 2023: The Pune Railway Division is dedicated to ensuring essential travel amenities for passengers. With temperatures soaring higher than usual this year, providing convenience to travelers becomes crucial. As a result, clean and pure drinking water is now available free of cost at Pune, Kolhapur, Satara, and Miraj stations, specifically catering to passengers in general class coaches.
Under the guidance of Divisional Railway Manager Indu Dubey, the initiative was led by Additional Divisional Railway Manager Brijesh Kumar Singh, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Dr Milind Hirve, and Divisional Commercial Manager Dr Ramdas Bhise. They have collaborated to ensure the provision of safe and clean water at Pune, Kolhapur, Satara, and Miraj stations.
Satara and Miraj stations have implemented the water distribution system at no cost with the support of the Railway Department. Pune station received essential cooperation from former corporator Rajabhau Laigude, social worker Yashwant Laigude, and the Rajasthani Mahila Mandal has assisted the Kolhapur station.
