In a home kitchen filled with the aroma of melted chocolate, warm dough and freshly brewed coffee, Shah shapes, bakes and boxes what has quickly become one of the city’s most talked-about dessert brands — Bliss Bombz.
Bliss Bombz is a home-based bakery that caters to Pune’s ever-growing community of dessert lovers. What makes it special is not just the taste, but the story behind it. Shah, a former corporate professional, walked away from a stable job to pursue entrepreneurship full-time. Armed with nothing more than a passion for baking and a clear vision, she built Bliss Bombz from scratch.
Specialising in fresh, eggless desserts, Bliss Bombz offers a range that satisfies both the classic sweet tooth and the adventurous foodie. From soft, sugar-dusted donuts and decadent brownies to customised dessert boxes, everything is baked in small batches to ensure quality and freshness. Shah personally handles every part of the process — from mixing the batter and perfecting flavours to packaging orders and responding to customer messages.
“I wanted to create desserts that feel indulgent, but also personal,” Shah says. “When people order from Bliss Bombz, I want them to feel like they’re getting something made just for them.”
The journey, however, has been far from easy. Starting solo meant long hours, trial-and-error learning, and figuring out marketing on her own. There was no big budget or team — just consistency, creativity and grit. Slowly, word-of-mouth from happy customers across Pune began doing what advertisements couldn’t. Each satisfied client became a brand ambassador.
Social media, too, played a key role. Through Instagram, Shah showcased her creations — gooey bombolonis, layered tiramisu cups, rich cheesecakes in flavours like chocolate and Biscoff, and chewy cookies that disappear faster than they can be photographed. For those who prefer savoury over sweet, Bliss Bombz even offers Korean cream cheese buns — soft, fluffy and packed with flavour.
Today, Bliss Bombz is still home-grown, but it is no longer small in ambition. Shah dreams of expanding across Pune with pop-up events, collaborations, and innovative new flavours, while preserving the warmth and personal touch that define the brand.
“I don’t want Bliss Bombz to lose its soul as it grows,” she says. “Even if we expand, I want people to still feel that care in every box they open.”
In a city full of cafés and commercial bakeries, Bliss Bombz stands out because it is built on heart, hustle and handmade goodness. It is proof that sometimes, the best businesses rise not from boardrooms, but from kitchens — where dreams are kneaded into dough and baked into reality.
