Pune, 2nd April 2026: Residents in rural parts of Pune will now have to pay more for compressed natural gas (CNG) after Torrent Gas announced a price revision, which will come into effect from midnight of April 2.

Torrent Gas, which operates in the Pune rural region, has increased the CNG price by Rs 2 per kg. With the revision, the new rate will be Rs 94.50 per kg, up from Rs Rs 92.50 per kg, effective from 12 am on April 3.

The company has also revised the price of Bio-CNG, which will now cost Rs 92 per kg, up from the existing Rs 90 per kg.

Officials said the revised rates will be implemented across all operational and maintenance (O&M) bases under Torrent Gas. The hike is expected to impact daily commuters and transport operators in the Pune rural belt, where CNG is widely used as a fuel alternative.
