Pune, 5th September 2025: The Pune Police have issued detailed regulations for tomorrow’s Anant Chaturthi Ganesh Visarjan processions, focusing on noise control, safety measures, and crowd management to prevent any untoward incidents during the 10-day immersion festivities.

According to the police, loudspeakers will be permitted only until midnight, and the use of flammable materials and laser lights has been strictly banned. Officials explained that laser lights are prohibited as they can cause eye damage. Rules have also been framed to ensure sound systems remain within the prescribed decibel limits.

The guidelines further restrict the bursting of firecrackers in public places, especially near hospitals. For Ganesh mandals, only two dhol-tasha teams will be allowed in the procession. Continuous drumming has been disallowed to avoid excessive noise.

The Ganesh Visarjan procession will begin at 9:30 am and is expected to continue until noon the following day. To maintain law and order, the Pune Police will deploy over 8,000 officers, officials, and home guards across the city. Security arrangements will also include mobile surveillance vans, drones, and CCTV cameras to monitor suspicious activities.

Police have warned that strict action will be taken against individuals or groups violating the regulations.
