Ghanaian Delegation Explores Technological Advancements at Pune’s MSEDCL Office

Pune, 27th October 2023: A delegation of senior management officers from the Electricity Company of Ghana Limited paid a visit to the Pune Regional Office of MSEDCL on Thursday (26th October). During their visit, they gained insights into technological advancements and customer-focused initiatives. Additionally, the delegation expressed their hope for collaboration with MSEDCL, particularly in the areas of technical training, accounting, and human resources.
The delegation from the Electricity Company of Ghana, comprising Senior Administrative Officers Solomon Mensah (Training & Development), Ebenezer Ghunanye (Operations), and Ibrahim Yakubu (Maintenance), was welcomed by Chief Engineer Rajendra Pawar. Notable figures present during the visit included Atul Thakar, President of the Association for Overseas Technical Cooperation and Sustainable Partnerships, Superintending Engineer Arvind Bulbule, Assistant General Manager Madhuri Raut, and others.
The Ghanaian delegation had the opportunity to tour various facilities at MSEDCL, including the ‘SCADA’ Centre, Meter Testing Lab, and Training Centre. Subsequently, a discussion took place in the ‘Prakashdoot’ auditorium, where they engaged in conversations about several power sector issues with senior Mahavitaran officials. Chief Engineer Rajendra Pawar provided insights into Mahavitran’s customer service and technical advancements, addressing various aspects of the power distribution system. The delegation expressed particular appreciation for MSEDCL’s centralized billing system, photo meter reading, meter reading app, mobile app for consumers, and solar power generation projects for domestic and agricultural consumers.
The conversation was moderated by Deputy Executive Engineer Dr. Santosh Patni, with the presence of members from the AOTS Alumni Society of Central India, including Shukalendu Soman, Milind Joshi, Sudhanshu Kashikar, and other officials from both organizations.
