Giripremi worships mountains on the occasion of International Mountain Day
Pune, December 12
On the occasion of International Mountain Day (December 11), Giripremi worships
mountains at Hanuman Tekadi, near Fergusson College, Pune. Renowned writer and
mountain lover Shri. Pra. Ke. Ghanekar was chief guest of the program. Giripremi’s
Everesters Ashish Mane, Bhushan Harshe, Rupesh Khopade, Anand Mali and Prasad Joshi
along with veteran mountaineer Umesh Zirpe and Giripremi’s well-wishers and supporters
attended the program.
The United Nations celebrate International Mountain Day on December 11 every year.
The purpose of the day is to create awareness about mountain ecosystem. Giripremi is
officially associated with The United Nations to celebrate International Mountain Day.
Every year Giripremi organizes several innovative activities to celebrate the mountains.
This year Giripremi organized Mountain Run, Mountain Film Festival, Online Mountain Photography Competition to celebrate International Mountain Day.
All the activities received an enormous response as thousands of mountain lovers participated in it.
