Pune, 29th March 2022: Big news is coming for WhatsApp users. Soon you will be able to send files up to 2 GB through this instant messaging app.

According to the report, WhatsApp is testing a new feature, through which the limit for sending files will be increased. At present, through this app, you can transfer files up to 100 MB.

WABetainfo has shared some screenshots of an iOS device, where the user has been alerted of the file size limit of 2GB. This limit means that you will be able to easily share high resolution videos and large files through WhatsApp. This feature is also important because sending large files through WhatsApp becomes a difficult task.

WhatsApp’s file sharing feature has been available since 2017, but its 100 MB limit remains a problem for users. Currently, to share large files or videos, users have to resort to platforms like Google Drive or We Transfer. Nothing can be said about how long the new feature will be brought to the users.

WhatsApp has recently started releasing the stable version of its multi-device feature. This new feature allows users to connect up to five devices and run WhatsApp on them simultaneously. The company has named it WhatsApp Linked Device, which can be seen in WhatsApp Settings.
