IB ACIO 2020 Exam: 2000 Vacancies Of Assistant Central Intelligence Officer Grade-II/Executive In Intelligence Bureau

Pune, December 18, 2020: Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has decided to conduct the Intelligence Bureau (IB) Assistant Central Intelligence Officer (ACIO) Examination 2020-21 for the recruitment of ACIO Grade-II/Executive. It is General Central Service, Group ‘C’ (Non-gazetted, Non-Ministerial) post. It is a premium job opportunity. Through this recruitment process, the government will select eligible candidates to fill the 2000 vacancies for the post of Assistant Central Intelligence Officer Grade-II/Executive.

Salary:

The pay scale of Assistant Central Intelligence Officer Grade-II/ Executive in Intelligence Bureau is Rs 44,900/- Rs 1,42,400/- & Central Government Allowance. The detailed information of the pay scale of an IB ACIO Grade-II/ Executive is given below

An IB ACIO Grade-II/Executive’s salary is of Level-7 (Rs 44,900-Rs 1, 42,400) in the pay matrix plus admissible central government allowances.

There is also a Special Security Allowance @20% of basic pay in addition to other government allowances.

Application Fees:

  • General (Male) and OBC candidates – Rs 100
  • SC/ST/Female candidates – No fee

Eligibility Criteria:

The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in any stream from a recognized university. A candidate with knowledge of computers will be desirable.

Age Limit:

Candidates should between 18 and 27 years. The upper age limit is relaxed for candidates belonging to reserved categories.

Selection Process:

The selection process for the recruitment of candidates is divided into three stages.

  1. Tier 1 (Phase 1)
  2. Tier 2 (Phase 2)
  3. Interview (Phase 3)

IB ACIO Tier 1 exam is basically a written objective type of exam. The candidates who will clear the Tier 1 exam, will then appear in the Tier 2 exam. The Tier 2 exam is descriptive in nature and to pass the Tier 2 exam, candidates are required to score at least 33% marks (as per the rule). Based on Tier 1 and Tier 2 exam performances, candidates will be called for an Interview for the final round of selection.
