Ikram Khan Distributes Ration Kits to Needy Women on Women’s Day, Wins Hearts
Pune, 8th March 2025: In a heartwarming gesture, renowned national hockey player, professional golfer, and NCP State Minorities Committee President Ikram Khan distributed ration kits to underprivileged women in Kalyaninagar on the occasion of Women’s Day. This noble initiative aimed to provide essential food supplies to the poorest sections of society, improving their livelihoods and ensuring food security.
Khan’s compassion and commitment to social welfare were evident as he recalled helping a 100-year-old woman who had once worked with his grandfather on a stud farm. Emphasizing his dedication to fighting hunger, he vowed to continue his efforts to ensure that no one goes to bed without food.
Former corporator Raju Shirsath praised Khan’s generosity, stating, “Ikram Khan, his father, and his grandfather have always stood by the poor during times of crisis. He is carrying forward this rich legacy by providing ration kits and other assistance whenever needed.”
The women who received the ration kits expressed their gratitude, offering prayers for Khan’s long and healthy life.
