New Delhi, December 6, 2020: In the war against Coronavirus, China has given emergency approval to 4, Russia 2 and UK 1 vaccine. Even though the vaccine has not received approval in India, it is in the forefront of pre-orders. According to a global analysis, India has secured 160 crore doses. Experts are saying that it will cover 80 crore people i.e. 60% of our country’s population. This will be enough to develop herd immunity.

According to the Launch and Scale Speedometer Analysis, which is updated every two weeks, India has secured 160 crore doses of three vaccines by 30 November. At the same time, after that, the European Union has secured 158 crore doses and America more than 100 crores. According to America’s Duke University Global Health Innovation Center, India has entered into an agreement to buy 50 crore doses of Oxford University-AstraZeneca’s Covishield vaccine. At the same time, India is going to get 100 crore doses from American company Novavax and 100 million doses of Sputnik V vaccine from Russia’s Gamaleya Research Institute.

Poor countries completely dependent on WHO

According to Duke University’s report, high-income countries have secured 380 million doses. Upper middle-income countries have secured 82.9 million doses and lower middle-income countries have achieved 170 million doses. Researchers say that low-income countries have not made any direct deals. That is, 20% of the population is completely dependent on Kovacs. COVAX is an initiative of the World Health Organization, the Coalition for Endemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI) and the International Vaccine Alliance Organization Gavi, which aims to make the COVID-19 vaccine available to governments and vaccine manufacturers as well as all countries.

Vaccine order up to five times the population

According to an analysis by Global Researchers, many countries have booked pre-orders for more vaccines than their population. Canada has booked 527% more vaccines than its population, while the UK has pre-booked 288%, Australia 266%, Chile 223%, European Union 199%, USA 169% and Japan 115%. The reason for doing this is that even if a vaccine failed and could not reach the approval stage, the population should not be deprived of the vaccine. At the same time, the vaccine is seen reaching only 60% of the population in India.

Hyderabad and Delhi airports also ready for vaccine transportation

Air cargo services at Delhi and Hyderabad airports are fully ready for vaccine distribution. Delhi Airport has two cargo terminals. The state-of-the-art time and temperature-sensitive distribution systems will play a special role in the distribution of the vaccine. Delhi Airport has the capacity to handle 1.5 lakh metric tonnes of cargo annually. It has temperature-controlled zones ranging from -20 ° to 25 ° C.

GMR Hyderabad Air Cargo holds a special place not only in the country but also in global vaccine logistics. A Hyderabad airport spokesperson said that GMR Hyderabad Air Cargo is the first pharma zone in India to have a GDP-certified temperature-controlled facility.
