India’s Coronavirus Tally Crosses 42 Lakh Mark With the Highest Single-Day Spike of 90,802 COVID-19 Cases

New Delhi, 7 Sep,  2020: Coronavirus cases are increasing rapidly in India. The total number of cases in the country has reached to more than 42 lakhs and more than 71 thousand people have died. According to the latest data released by the Ministry of Health, in the last 24 hours, more than 90 thousand cases of corona have been reported and 1016 people have died. The total recoveries have jumped to 3,250,429 with recovery of 69,564 patients in the last 24 hours.

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 42,04,613 across the country. Out of this, 3,250,429 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 71,642 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 882,542   active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.

Highest cases in Maharashtra

Maharashtra has reported the highest number of coronavirus cases in the country.Across Maharashtra, 7,826 people got discharged from hospitals while 23,350 new cases and 328 deaths were reported yesterday. The total number of COVID cases has reached 9,07,212 out of which 6,44,400 people have recovered and 26,604 have died. There are 2,35,857 active cases.
