Bengaluru, 2nd April 2023: Royall Challengers Bangalore (RCB) opted to bowl first in the match between Mumbai Indians (MI) and RCB. In the power play itself, the RCB bowlers reduced Mumbai to 20 for three wickets, Ishan Kishan after making ten runs, Rohit Sharma after making one run, and Green after making five runs made their way to the pavilion.

Suryakumar Yadav, who came after that, could not make big innings either. He too returned with 15 runs off 16 balls. Tilak Varma alone was fighting on one side. Initially cautious, Tilak later increased his pace.

Wadhera gave him good support by scoring 21 runs. On the strength of the half-century partnership of these two, Mumbai reached close to a hundred. But at a strategic moment, Wadhera got out and Tilak Verma came to play. But Tilak did not give up his struggle and scored 38 runs in the last two overs to take Mumbai to 171 runs. He was well supported by Siraj with five wides in a single over. Tilak Varma scored an unbeaten 84 off 46 balls.

For the second innings, RCB needed to chase the target of 172 runs. Virat Kohli and Faf Du Plessis continued their attack even after the 10th over. Meanwhile, Virat Kohli also completed his half-century. Faf Du Plessis had also changed his gear. It seemed that these two would score 172 runs by the 15th over.

But Arshad Khan finally broke this pair who opened with 148 runs in 15 overs. He dismissed Du Plessis for 73 runs. Dinesh Karthik also lost his wicket on zero after giving a wicket to Green. After these two wickets, Virat Kohli took control of the innings and scored an unbeaten 76 off 48 balls. Maxwell, who hit two sixes and scored 12 runs in three balls, supported RCB to victory. These two duos made RCB win in 16.2 overs.
