JEE Main 2024 January Session: NTA Announces Registration Dates and Fees

New Delhi, 2nd November 2023: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has recently announced the registration dates and fees for the upcoming Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2024 for the January session. This exam is pivotal for admissions to top engineering institutions across the nation, offering courses such as B.E., B.Tech, B.Arch, and B.Planning.

The registration process for the January session has commenced, with interested candidates having the opportunity to register until the specified deadline of 30 November 2023. Aspiring students can access the registration link for the JEE Main 2024 January session on the official Joint Entrance Examination (Main) portal at jeemain.nta.ac.in.

Applicants are required to submit the prescribed fees alongside their application forms for successful acceptance. For the first session, the registration fee for male candidates of the general category is set at Rs.1000, while female candidates will need to pay Rs. 800. Furthermore, male and female candidates from abroad will be charged Rs. 5000 and Rs. 4000, respectively.

Similarly, male candidates from General-EWS and OBC-NCL categories are required to pay RS. 900, while female candidates in these categories need to pay Rs. 800. Overseas male and female candidates will be charged Rs. 4500 and Rs. 4000, respectively.
SC, ST, and third-gender candidates, both domestic and international, will need to pay a fee of Rs. 500. However, SC, and ST candidates from overseas will be charged Rs. 2500, and third-gender candidates will pay Rs. 3000.

Alongside the registration dates, the examination dates for the January 2024 session have also been disclosed. The exam is scheduled to take place between 24 January and 1 February 2024. The admit cards for the exam will be released on the official website three days before the examination.

The NTA’s announcement sets the stage for the first session of the JEE Main 2024, paving the way for prospective engineering aspirants to begin their registration process promptly.
