Kangana Ranaut’s Tejas To Clash With Tiger Shroff And Kriti Sanon’s Ganpath At The Box Office

Mumbai, 5th July 2023: Kangana Ranaut has announced the release date of her upcoming film, Tejas. Taking to Instagram, the actress shared that the film is scheduled to hit theatres on October 20. Interestingly, this release date sets up a clash with Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon’s film, Ganpath. Alongside the release date revelation, Kangana also unveiled a couple of new stills from Tejas.

In the first photo, Kangana is seen donning an airforce uniform, stepping out of an aircraft. The second still captures the actress amid an action-packed scene, covered in dust as she walks away from a burning car. These intriguing glimpses are bound to leave fans eagerly anticipating the film. Kangana shared the stills with a caption that pays tribute to the bravery of our heroic Air Force pilots, while also announcing the release date of Tejas.

Notably, it is worth mentioning that Tejas is now set to release on the same date that Kangana initially chose for her directorial project, Emergency. The film, which revolves around the Emergency period during Indira Gandhi’s rule in India, was originally slated for an October 20 release. However, after Vikas Bahl had already reserved the same timeframe for Ganpath, Kangana chose to alter the date.

Back in February, Kangana took to Twitter and expressed her thoughts on the matter. She mentioned that while she was searching for a suitable release date for Emergency, she noticed that the movie calendar for this year seemed quite vacant, possibly due to the setbacks faced by the Hindi film industry. Based on her post-production timelines, Kangana zeroed in on October 20. But within a week, Bhushan Kumar, owner of T-Series, announced his film for the same date. Kangana pointed out that the entire months of October, November, December, and even September were available, On October 20th, Mr Amitabh Bachchan and Tiger Shroff unveiled their highly ambitious project, sending waves of excitement throughout the entertainment industry. She humorously speculated about panic meetings among the Bollywood mafia gangs.

As for Emergency, its release date has now been shifted to November 24.

Meanwhile, Tejas, written and directed by Sarvesh Mewara, follows the extraordinary journey of Tejas Gill, an Air Force pilot. The film aims to inspire and instil a deep sense of pride in every Indian by showcasing the tireless efforts of our Air Force pilots in defending our nation, despite facing numerous challenges along the way.
