Khalistani Terrorists Received Consignments of Weapons and Drugs From Pakistan Through Drones
Karnal, 6th May 2022: Four suspected Khalistani terrorists were arrested from Karnal in Haryana on Thursday. Agencies say that these people were in touch with Pakistani handlers and were going to deliver explosives in Telangana. They say that these suspected terrorists had received arms and drugs from across the border 9 times in the last 6 months. They were dropped by drones in Ferozepur, Punjab.
The agencies had arrested Gurpreet Singh, Akashdeep, Bhupinder Singh and Parminder Singh from Karnal. All these four people were residents of Punjab. Senior police officials said after the arrest of these people that arms, explosives and Improvised Explosive Device (IEDs) have been recovered from the vehicle.
According to reports, these four people were in contact with Pakistani intelligence agency ISI. It is alleged that Gurpreet Singh met Rajbir Singh in jail, who is said to be close to Harjinder Singh Rinda, a handler based in Pakistan.
According to the report by News18, the explosives and drugs found with these four people were dropped several times from across the border through drones. This is what these people were going to give at some place in Telangana. Its order was also given by Harjinder Singh Rinda.
Some amount was also given to these people for this delivery. Not only this, he had also kept the IED found in Ambala sometime back. The role of this group is also being told in the December 2021 blast in Ludhiana court.
ADGP Law and Order Sandeep Khirwar said that three IEDs, a pistol made in Pakistan, 31 cartridges and an amount of Rs 1.5 lakh have been recovered from these people. According to forensic experts, timers, detonators and batteries have also been recovered from these people. Detonators and timers were connected to the IED.
Among those arrested by the police, Gurpreet Singh, Amandeep Singh and Parminder Singh are residents of Ferozepur. Apart from this, Bhupinder Singh is a resident of Ludhiana.
A case has been registered against these people under Arms Act, UAPA Act. A case has been registered against these people at Madhuban Police Station in Karnal. The police administration is considering the arrest of these 4 people as a big success.
