Kharadi: 33-Year-Old Youth Murdered Over Old Rivalry

Pune, October 5, 2020: A 33-year-old youth who has criminal records has been murdered over an old rivalry. The incident took place in the wee hours today in Kharadi.

The deceased identified as Shailesh Gadge was brutally beaten with bamboo sticks and crushed his head with a paver block by Raju Aswale, Sumit Wakde and Sumit Khedkar. An FIR against the three alleged accused has been registered by the deceased’s brother Nilesh Ghadge.

According to senior police inspector Shankar Khatke of Chandan nagar police station, Shailesh had an altercation with Aswale, Wakde and Khedkar in July 2016. Three months back Aswale had called Shailesh’s brother and abused him. Shailesh was anguished over this episode. On Sunday, Shailesh had gone out with friends and later he rode away alone on a bike in search of Aswale. During this time, the three caught Shailesh near a hotel in Kharadi and brutally beat him and hit him with a paver block to death.

The murder came into notice today around 6.30 am. Immediately, Chandan nagar police arrived at the murder spot and an investigation has begun in this matter. Three squads have been formed for accused lookout.
