The pandemic and the subsequent lockdown has had its toll. However, this did not dampen the spirits of the ladies observing fast on the occasion of karwa chauth.

Karwa Chauth is all about observing an austerious fast for the long life of one’s partner. It is believed that this festival makes the bond of love stronger between the married couple.

“We celebrated Karva Chauth differently this year in our sweet cosy society, keeping all the safety norms in mind. We got together and as per custom, performed the puja and exchanged the thalis but maintaining social distancing”, said Naina Jaiswal, a resident Nyati Empire.
