Pune, November 5, 2020: Residents of Nyati Empire Society , Kharadi are very vibrant and celebrate each festival with gusto. 2020 has been a challenging year. The pandemic and the subsequent lockdown has had its toll. However, this did not dampen the spirits of the ladies observing fast on the occasion of karwa chauth.

 

“Keeping the traditions alive, ladies celebrated with a twist. Donning matching masks with their bridal best ladies performed the Pooja maintaining social distancing and sanitising frequently”, said Mehzabin Saiyed, Secretary, Nyati Empire.

Karwa Chauth is all about observing an austerious fast for the long life of one’s partner. It is believed that this festival makes the bond of love stronger between the married couple.

“We celebrated Karva Chauth differently this year in our sweet cosy society, keeping all the safety norms in mind. We got together and as per custom, performed the puja and exchanged the thalis but maintaining social distancing”, said Naina Jaiswal, a resident Nyati Empire.
