Know What Is Allowed, Not Allowed In Pune During Mini Lockdown From April 3 To 9

Pune, 2 April 2021: As per the decision taken during the meeting by Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has issued detailed order regarding restrictions to control the spread of Coronavirus disease (COVID19).

PMC Commissioner Vikram Kumar said that the new restriction orders will be for the period April 3 to 6. The order states:

  • In the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area, from 6 am to 6 pm, there will be a restriction on the gathering of more than five people at a place. If there is a violation then each person will be fined Rs 1,000.

 

  • From 6 pm to 6 am, there will be a curfew. People are not allowed to travel except for essential reasons/services. However, the establishments/individuals supplying essential commodities (milk, vegetables, fruits, etc.), providing newspaper services and essential services, for covid vaccination, are exempted. Also, the employees of the establishments where the shifts are operating and the vehicles carrying them are excluded from the order.

 

  • All hotels, restaurants, bars, food courts, malls, cinemas (single screen as well as multiplexes), theatres, swimming pools, spas, gymnasiums, sports complex, clubs etc. will remain completely closed till 09/04/2021 or further order. However, parcel service/home delivery service through the hotel will continue till 11 pm. People will not be allowed to eat at roadside food stalls/handcart food vendors but they can take parcels from there.
  • All shops except those selling an essential commodity (eg medical store) will be closed at 6 pm.
  • Apart from wedding ceremonies and funeral related programs, all kinds of social, political, religious, cultural, programs, gatherings, inaugurations, bhumi pujans and similar events which can be attended by a large number of people will be completely prohibited.

 

  • Wedding ceremonies will be allowed in the presence of a maximum of 50 people.
  • Funeral, Dashakriya and related programs will be allowed in the presence of maximum 20 people.
  • All religious places will remain completely closed till 9/04/2021 or further order.

 

  • All weekly markets will remain completely closed till 9/4/2021 or further order. But Mandai will continue. It is mandatory to strictly follow the rules regarding social distance and cleanliness. It will be mandatory for vendors and as well as the person providing the required services to get COVID test done.

 

  • Public transport system (PMPML) will be completely closed from 03/04/2021. Industry / private offices should arrange transportation for their employees at their level.

 

  • Regular classes of all primary and secondary schools, educational institutes, schools will remain closed till 30th April 2021. However, online education will be allowed. As there are 10th and 12th class examinations, they have been excluded from this order.

 

  • All coaching classes/computer classes (except MPSC\UPSC) will be closed till 30th April 2021. MPSC\ UPSC coaching classes will operate with 50% capacity following COVID prevention norms.

 

The municipal commissioner has clarified that people found violating these orders will be prosecuted after registration FIR against them for offences under section 188 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and sections 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act.
