“Leadership is Responsibility, Not Rank” – Gen. M. M. Naravane launches “The Cantonment Conspiracy” at Pune
Pune, 18th August 2025: The former Chief of Army Staff, General M. M. Naravane (Retd.), unveiled his much-anticipated book “The Cantonment Conspiracy” at a grand event hosted at RIIM Pune, in the presence of academicians & students.
During his address, Gen. Naravane shed light on some of the most pressing issues concerning India’s defence and security. He broadly spoke on the strategic role of defence preparedness in safeguarding national interests and the significant contribution to India’s economy and nation-building.
Speaking to management students, he shared real-life experiences that highlighted the importance of decision-making, discipline, integrity and teamwork qualities equally vital in corporate boardrooms as on the battlefield.
In an inspiring gesture, over 500 copies of the book were distributed to management students, motivating the next generation of leaders.
Prafful Sarda, who requested Gen. Naravane to launch the book at RIIM said, I am glad he honoured my special request to launch his book at the college. Gen.
