Lila Poonawalla Foundation Supports Communities And Institutions With Donation Of Over 20,000 Sanitizers
Pune, 31 May 2021: The Covid-19 Pandemic is wreaking havoc worldwide, with loss of income and livelihood increasing day by day, it is our duty as responsible citizens and compassionate human beings to do everything we can to help those in need.
Recently the Lila Poonawalla Foundation (LPF) with the generous contribution of our well-wisher Blossom Industries Ltd. donated 20,240 bottles of sanitizers to LPF supported schools in Pune city and in villages around Pune, Charitable Institutions, Hospitals and Orphanages.
The LPF supported schools include, Villoo Poonawalla School/ Dr. Cyrus Poonawalla School, St. Clares School, Camp Education Marathi School, Dr. Kalmadi Shyamrao Highschool, Prena School, Anjuman Schools, Bapusaheb Pawar Kanya Shala, Golden Glades School, Kamshet, Hirakani Marathi School, Gawdewadi, MG School, Chandoli, ZP School, Manchar, Primary school, Gawdewadi. Additionally, the sanitizers were also distributed to Sadhu Waswani Mission, Mahatma Gandhi Orphanage, Bel Air Hospital, Panchgani, H.V. Desai Eye Hospital, Tehmi Grant Nursing College, Military Hospital, Kirkee, Army Limbs Hospital and Symbiosis Hospital.
Last year in the effort to curb the impact from loss of incomes and livelihoods, LPF along with the support of our Board of Trustees, Corporate Partners, Well-Wishers, LILA Alumni had donated 1 months’ supply of food grains/groceries to the over 3,300+ families of our LILA Daughters, Charitable Institutions, Orphanage and in other Communities.
