Pune, May 22, 2020: Pune is the second-highest COVID19 infected city after Mumbai in Maharashtra. The rate of the positive cases has grown substantially from day one, there were days when the growth declined, but now it seems unstoppable, with more areas coming in the wrath of Coronavirus. However, the administration had to revive the economy alongside with restrictions in the containment zone.

Pune Police has removed 97 per cent barricade in the city while the containment zones have been sealed. It has been decided that the Police won’t be checking movement of people in the city anymore. Although the government has allowed shops in areas other than the containment zones to be open, to revive the economy, yet the citizens still do not dare to go out out of fear. Businesses and shops are allowed to open from 7 am to 7 pm.

The full picture on business revival will be cleared in a few days when there will be more customers in the market along with safety precautions taken. According to the current rules, red and non-red zones are the two categories to divide a district/municipality and within that micro-containment zones are identified like colony, building, housing society. In containment zones, all facilities are closed except for essential services.
