Maharashtra: Bilingual Books For Students Of Standard First To Fifth
Pune, 25th June 2022: Marathi and Urdu medium students of standard first and Marathi medium students of standard second have been given integrated and bilingual semi-English textbooks. In all primary schools of Maharashtra, for students of standard first to fifth, these textbooks will be distributed until the year 2026-27.
This initiative is for a better understanding of mathematical and scientific concepts, which will improve the learning process. Practice for the same on an experimental basis was carried out in the year 2020-2021.
The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) has the responsibility of preparing the syllabus of these textbooks. Along with this, the ‘Balbharati’ has the responsibility of printing these textbooks.
