Maharashtra Budget 2023-2024: Check Main Announcements For Pune Below

Pune, 9th March 2023: Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Devendra Fadnavis presented the State Budget for 2023-2024 in the Legislative Assembly on 9th March at noon. The Government has made several announcements for various sectors in this Budget. Here are the main details for Pune:

1) The fifth Jyotirlinga as Bhimashankar will be developed in Ambegaon in Pune for Rs 50 crore
2)Marathi Vidhyapeeth to be set up in Amravati
3)Savitribai Phule, a social reformer, established the first women’s school in Pune. Rs 50 crore will be given for developing it
4)A new international airport is to be developed at Purandar and funds will be provided for it
5)A circular economic park would be built by the government in Nagpur, Mumbai, Pune, Smabhaji Nagar, and Ratnagiri
6)Rs 39,000 crore was proposed for Metro projects in Thane, Nashik, and Pimpri-Chinchwad
7)For women, there would be a one per cent stamp duty rebate, according to the finance minister. The Maharashtra government’s action, which comes one day after the commemoration of International Women’s Day, is anticipated to lower the cost of property ownership for women in Mumbai and Pune, among other cities
8)VAT on aircraft turbine fuel has been reduced by eight%. Aviation Turbine Fuel is now subject to an 18% tax instead of the previous 25% in Mumbai, Pune, and Raigad. Around 40% of the cost of operating an airline is made up of aviation turbine fuel. Hence, air ticket costs will come down.
