Maharashtra Class 11th Admission 2025: Statewide Online Registration Begins, Official Portal Launched
Mumbai, 9th May 2025: The Maharashtra School Education Department has launched a dedicated online portal for Class 11 admissions for the 2025-26 academic year, making the process mandatory and centralized across the state. All junior colleges and schools must register on the official website, mahafyjcadmissions.in, by 15th May, with student registrations set to open from 19th May.
This marks the first time the online admission system will be implemented statewide, expanding beyond the previous five regions, Mumbai, Pune, Nashik, Nagpur and Amravati, to cover all districts. The department has made it clear that only online applications will be valid; any offline admissions will be considered invalid.
Students who have passed the Class 10 or SSC exams from any recognized board are eligible to apply. The application process involves two steps: filling out personal and academic details, uploading required documents, and selecting preferred colleges and streams. The allocation of seats will be based on merit and student preferences, with the process conducted in several rounds, including a final merit-based round to fill remaining seats.
The official schedule specifies that schools and colleges must complete their registration and verification by 15th May, while students can register and submit their preferences from 19th to 28th May. The department has also warned students and parents to use only the official portal to avoid fraudulent websites.
The move to a fully digital, transparent, and streamlined process aims to simplify admissions, ensure fairness, and provide convenience for students and parents throughout Maharashtra.
