Pune, May 23rd, 2022: The process for admissions of various courses is conducted through 15 entrance examinations in coordination with Common Entrance Examination Cell (CET Cell) through various dates and time which causes irregularity and confusion for students.

The Maharashtra State Government has clarified that the Admissions Regulatory Authority (ARA) is the competent authority to implement the admission process for vocational degree and postgraduate courses in the state. The Admissions Regulatory Authority has also been directed to take a decision regarding the implementation of the admission process for all the courses at the same time. The admission process planning is prepared by the Directorate of Higher Education and Technical Education under the Department of Higher and Technical Education and sent to the CET Cell. The process is carried out by them accordingly.

However, the Association of Management of Unaided Institutes in Rural Areas filed a petition in the Aurangabad Bench seeking timely completion of the admission process, alleging inconsistency in the admissions process. After that, the court directed that a decision should be taken regarding the uniform admission process within 15 days considering the issues raised by the association regarding admission of all vocational courses.
