Maharashtra COVID report: 14,161 new cases, 339 deaths today

Mumbai, Aug 21, 2020: A total of 11,749 patients were discharged and 14,161 new Covid-19 cases were reported in Maharashtra while 1556 new cases were reported in Pune city today. Today, 339 COVID-19 deaths reported in the state, Case fatality rate in the state is 3.30%. The current count of COVID19 patients in the state of Maharashtra is 6,57,450  informed State Health Minister Rajesh Tope.

 

According to the health department, 4,70,873 patients have been cured while the Case fatality rate in the state is 3.30%. As of today, there are 1,64,562 active cases in the state. The recovery rate in the state is 71.62% while the fatality rate in the state is 3.30%. Currently, 11,92,685 people are in home quarantine and 35,132 people are in institutional quarantine.

 

Out of 34,92,966 laboratory samples, 6,57,450 have been tested positive (18.82%) for COVID-19 until today.

 

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 2,905,823 across the country. Out of this, 2,158,946 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 54,849 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 6,92028 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
