Pune, September 23, 2020: Leader of Opposition in Maharashtra Legislative Council and senior BJP leader Pravin Darekar today mocked the Maha Vikas Aghadi government led by Shiv Sena for not paying attention to the basic issues (in Mumbai) and oxygen beds for COVID patients in Pune.

Deokar interacted with the media persons after visiting the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD). He met the bank officials and discussed the redevelopment restrictions on housing societies and lifting of the restrictions.

Talking about the issue of beds in Pune, Deokar said, “The issue of oxygenated beds and medicines is not addressed by the Uddhav Thackeray government. The problem with this government is their ego.”

He also spoke about the notice given by the income tax department to Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar. “This is a routine procedure. I have received many such notices from the income tax department, so this isn’t a big deal”, he said.

The opposition leader slammed the State government on the Maratha reservation issue. Speaking about the rains in Mumbai, he said life has been disrupted. “The government gets almost around 7-8 months to prepare before the monsoon but the state government has failed miserably”, he said.
