Maharashtra: Independent Directorate For The Implementation Of Education Department Schemes With 57 Permanent And Temporary Posts

Pune, 28th June 2022: The Directorate of Minority and Adult Education under the jurisdiction of the School Education Department has been renamed as the Directorate of Education (Planning). Also, schemes from the Directorate of Primary, Secondary and Higher Secondary Education will now be implemented through this independent directorate. The Department of School Education has published the ruling in this regard.

The government was planning to implement primary, secondary and higher secondary schemes at the district level. Accordingly, the Directorate of Minority and Adult Education was renamed as Directorate of Education (Planning) and the staff of the Directorate of Minority and Adult Education was also adjusted. Also, the schemes implemented by the Directorate of Primary, Secondary and Higher Secondary will now be implemented through an independent directorate. For this, the education officer scheme has been introduced in the district level office.

The Directorate of Education (Planning) will have a total of 57 permanent and temporary posts ranging from Director to Security Guard. There will also be 22 two permanent and contract posts in the School Nutrition Department of the Directorate of Primary Education, as well as three hundred and fifty permanent and temporary posts at the Education Officer Scheme level. Therefore, the implementation of the schemes from the Directorate of Primary, Secondary and Higher Secondary Education will be reduced and it will be implemented by the office of the Directorate of Education (Planning).
