Maharashtra: MSRTC Bus Collides with Dumper on Panchgani-Wai Route, Seven Injured
Panchgani, 16th March 2023: A bus operated by the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) collided with a dumper truck on the Panchgani-Wai route near Sherbagh, Satara. The accident left seven passengers injured, including the bus driver.
The incident occurred around 2:30 pm on Tuesday. The bus was heading towards Wai from Panchgani when the dumper truck collided with it near Sherbagh. The impact of the collision caused the bus to veer off the road and come to a stop in a nearby field.
The injured passengers were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. According to reports, the condition of two of the injured passengers is critical.
The cause of the accident is not yet known, and an investigation has been launched to determine the same. Meanwhile, the traffic on the Panchgani-Wai route was disrupted due to the accident, and efforts are underway to clear the road.
