Maharashtra Police Recruitment Begins, 5000 Vacancies To Be filled

Pune, 26 February 2021: Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh has said that the first phase of recruitment in Maharashtra Police has started. He said that the state government has taken a historic decision by approving the recruitment of 12,538 police constables.

Deshmukh said, “The first phase of recruitment has started in which 5294 posts will be filled. The second phase will also begin soon.”

Maharashtra State Service Preliminary Examination to be held on March 14

At the same time, the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) has announced a new date for the preliminary phase of the Maharashtra State Service Examination. The examination, which was earlier scheduled to be held in October 2020, will now be held on 14 March. This year more than 2.5 lakh candidates are expected to appear in the Maharashtra State Service Preliminary Examination.
