Maharashtra State Got Rs 1000 Crore Under Pradhan Mantri Matruvandana Yojana In Last Four Years

Pune, 27 August 2021: The Public Health Department has informed that since the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Matruvandana Yojana, which started in Maharashtra in November 2017, more than Rs 1000 crore has been disbursed.

 

Under this scheme, Rs 89 crore 48 lakh 59 thousand has been distributed in Pune district, Rs 37 crore 14 lakh and 42 thousand in Satara district and Rs 39 crore 62 thousand in Solapur district. Out of the target of 2.06 lakh beneficiaries for the Pune district for the year 2021-22, a total of 2.08 lakh or 101 % beneficiaries have been registered on the portal.

 

Pradhan Mantri Matruvandana Yojana is aimed at improving the health of pregnant women and lactating mothers by encouraging them to follow a healthy diet and improve the health of their newborns and reduce and control maternal and child mortality.

 

For the effective implementation of this scheme, the Central Government has organized a special week from 1st to 7th September 2021. During this week, all eligible beneficiaries should avail of the benefits of this scheme by submitting documents like  Aadhar Card, Aadhar Affiliated Bank, Post Account, Maternal Care Card, Child Birth Certificate, etc.
