Pune, 26th March 2026: The Maharashtra State Examination Council has announced that the Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2026 will be conducted on June 21. The online application process will begin on March 27 and continue until April 16.

Council Commissioner Mahesh Chothe stated that candidates must fill out application forms exclusively in English. Detailed instructions, along with the official government resolution, have been made available on the council’s website.

The TET is a mandatory qualification for aspiring teachers in the state, in line with directives issued by the Supreme Court of India, making it essential for recruitment in schools.

As per the schedule, hall tickets will be available for download between June 9 and June 21. The examination will be conducted in two sessions on the same day. Paper I (Primary Level) is scheduled from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm, while Paper II (Upper Primary Level) will be held from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm.

Candidates intending to appear for both levels have been advised to opt for the combined application. This will enable authorities to allot a single examination centre for both papers, ensuring smoother logistics and convenience for applicants.

Officials have urged candidates to carefully follow all instructions and complete the application process within the stipulated timeline to avoid last-minute complications.
