Marathi actors grace the ramp for a glamorous charity show for drought affected families

Pune, November 30, 2015: The Maha Fashion Foundation hosted a successful fundraiser and charity fashion show-Milap in support of drought-hit families of the state, at the Poona Club. Well-known designers Radha Mane, Naaz Shaikh, Priyanka Dubey and Vishwajeet Ghorpade showcased their fantastic collections at the event. Marathi actors, Adinath Kothare, Smita Gondkar, Sanskruti Balgude, Namrata Gaikwad, Vijay Patkar, Vipul Salunkhe, Shweta Pagar, Sid Juvekar (1st runner-up, Mr. India Manhunt) walked the ramp.

This noble initiative was taken to preserve the Maharashtrian culture, designers showcased beautiful Maharashtrian traditional clothes. The revenue raised from this event will be utilized to aid farmers and their families who are faced by the challenging drought conditions in villages. The revenue raised will be deposited in the Chief Minister’s Fund.

Designer Radha Mane showcased a collection named, ‘Timeless Glory’ for which the showstoppers were Sid Juvekar and Smita Gondkar.

Priyanka Dubey, showcased a fantastic collection named, ‘Dark Cherry Maharashtrian style’ and Vijay Patkar and Shweta Pgar were the showstoppers for this collection. Naaz Shaikh and Vishwajeet Ghorpade presented a range of rich ethnic wear for which Vipu Salunkhe, Namrata Gaikwad, Sanskruti Balgude and Adinath Kothare were the showstoppers. Vishal Sawant was the fashion choreographer for the event.

The Maha Fashion Foundation (MFF) has been established by Laxmikant Gund and aims to Promote and develop Maharashtra fashion, Maharashtra as well as Indian fashion designers and the Indian fashion industry.
