MHT-CET 2025 Re-exam Announced for Sunday Morning Slot Candidates Due to Major Math Errors

Mumbai, 30th April 2025: The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET Cell) has decided to conduct a re-examination for candidates who took the MHT-CET 2025 in the Sunday morning session. This decision follows the discovery of 21 critical mistakes in the English-medium mathematics section of the PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) paper.
The faulty question set was attempted by 24,744 students and was part of the 16 different exam sessions conducted for MHT-CET this year. The discrepancies were confined to the mathematics portion of the PCM paper—an especially serious issue since each math question carries two marks, double the value of questions in the physics and chemistry sections.
MHT-CET serves as a gateway for admission into engineering, pharmacy, and agriculture programs across Maharashtra. This year, approximately 7.64 lakh candidates registered for the test.
The CET Cell has assured that fresh exam dates will be declared soon. It also announced that strict action will be taken against the individuals involved in preparing the flawed question paper.
