Mob Sets Truck On Fire After Accident On Pune-Solapur Highway Ends In Biker’s Death
Indapur, 24th October 2023: In a devastating incident on the Pune-Solapur highway near the Indapur city exit, a speeding truck collided with a bike, resulting in the death of Dashrath Maruti Chormale, a 50-year-old resident of Kalke Vasti, Galandwadi No. 1, Indapur.
The fatal collision occurred when the truck was heading from Solapur to Pune. Dashrath Maruti Chormale, riding a two-wheeler, was returning home after selling milk in the city. The impact of the collision claimed Chormale’s life instantly.
An enraged mob, fueled by grief and anger, set the involved truck ablaze in retaliation to the incident.
Amidst the chaos, police constable Arjun Narle, stationed at the Indapur police station, sustained minor burns while attempting to control the fire engulfing the truck.
The swift response of the police ensued as a team, led by Police Inspector Dilip Pawar, rushed to the spot. Their primary objective was to pacify the agitated crowd and restore order.
