Mohanlal- Sunil Shetty’s ‘Marakkar’ Earned 100 Crores Even Before Its Release, Bollywood Superstars Were Left Behind

New Delhi, 3rd December 2021: Mohanlal starrer film Marakkar was finally released on Thursday (Dec. 2) after a long wait. The film has been released on 4,100 screens with 16,000 shows across the world, which has received a great response from the audience from all over. Interestingly, ‘Marakkar: Lion of the Arabian Sea’ has already entered the 100 crore club even before its release.

The makers of the film claim that ‘Marakkar: Lion of the Arabian Sea’ has made a box office connection of Rs 100 crore through advance booking. Superstar Mohanlal is in the lead role in the film, while Sunil Shetty is also seen playing an important role. Apart from Malayalam, it has also been released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada languages.

Actor Mohanlal had given information on his Twitter about the release of the film. In the tweet, the actor wrote, ”Marakkar: Lion of the Arabian Sea, will release on Thursday on massive 4100 screens worldwide with 16,000 shows.

Also, in tweeting another post, the actor has claimed that ”This is the first Indian film, which has entered the 100 crore club through advance booking before release.” Marakkar’s planning was done in 1996 but later it was lying in padding. Later the shooting of this film continued for 104 days and the post-production took about 15 days.

Its trailer was launched 2 days before its release, seeing that the audience had got an idea of the charm and grandeur of this film, they booked its tickets in advance without delay. This is a period war film, in which many scenes of Bahubali have also resembled.

Apart from Mohanlal in the film, Bollywood actors Sunil Shetty, Arjun Sarja, Prabhu, Ashok Selvan, Manju Warrier, Keerthy Suresh, Nedumudi Venu, Siddiqui, Mukesh, Pranav Mohanlal, JJ. Many stars like Jakkit, Max Cavenham are also seen in important roles.
