MP elections – E-Ballots sent to 18 Seva Nirvachaks working in 13 countries

The Chief Electoral Officer Shri V.L. Kanta Rao has informed that as per the directives of the Election Commission of India, E-Postal Ballots have been sent to all 18 voters, who are residents of Madhya Pradesh and are working abroad as their names are registered in the electoral roll after the cent percent online registration of service voters.

Service voters of the state residing in Bangladesh, Lebanon, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Tajikistan, Romania, Denmark, Pakistan, Egypt, America, Nepal, Saudi Arabia, and Japan will also cast their votes in Vidhan Sabha Election-2018. E-Postal ballots have been sent to all by e-mail. All the e-postal ballots are marked with bar codes. E-ballot papers will be downloaded by using secret password/pin by the concerned department/officer. Service voters by putting mark in front of name of the candidate of their liking will sent it by speed post to the returning officer of their concerned assembly constituency. Service voters have been provided a facility to send e-postal ballot by speed post free of cost.

Electronically postal ballots have already been issued to all the 62 thousand 172 service voters of the state through electronically transmitted postal ballot system by the returning officers of 230 assembly constituencies.
