MPSC candidates go on hunger strike for appointment

Pune, September 6, 2019 : Despite of clearing the Maharashtra Public Service Commission(MPSC) exam no appointments were made, as a result candidates goes on a hunger strike on Friday, (September, 6) near Mahatma Gandhi statue at Pune station, after then they went for a protest & hunger strike at Pune divisional commissioner’s office at council hall. 600-700 candidates participated in this strike.

An underway case of 2018 MPSC exam in Aurangabad bench of Bombay High Court was filed where students had petition against each other in the reserved other backward class (OBC) category, as they wanted a chance to apply in an open merit list after not being selected in the reserved merit list, due to this candidates who passed this examination 2 years ago, are still today left with no postings in their hand.

“On August 8, high court ordered for immediate training and postings of the candidates, but unfortunately no such thing happened. Also, candidates spoke about how disappointing it was to left with no option but to go on a hunger strike as despite of visiting multiple times no positive response were made from the chief minister Devendra Fadnavis” said one of the MPSC passe out candidate Mahesh Kachave. Anirudh Gosavi , one of the candidate stated that how helpless he felt about not getting any progress from the high court as his only motto was to get postings of all the candidates.
