MSEDCL Sets Up One-Window Facility for Ganesh Mandals’ Temporary Electricity Connections in Pune
Pune, 20th August 2025: The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has set up a special ‘One Window Facility’ at its Rastapeth office to provide temporary and immediate power connections to public Ganesh Mandals in Pune city.
Sunil Kakade, Chief Engineer, Pune Circle, has urged all Ganesh Mandals to make use of this facility. Applications will be accepted at the Central Consumer Facilitation Center at Rastapeth Power House. For smooth processing, Additional Executive Engineer Avinash Lokhande (Mobile: 7875767494) has been appointed as the nodal officer.
For temporary power connections, mandals are required to submit documents including the registration certificate of the Municipal Corporation or local self-government body, police permission, power demand application, and power layout report.
MSEDCL has also emphasized strict adherence to safety guidelines. While setting up pandals, lighting, and decorations, mandals must ensure a safe distance from low- and high-voltage power lines and distribution towers. Only approved electrical contractors should be engaged to arrange the power supply, and emergency contact numbers of local branch engineers should be kept handy.
Ganesh Mandals will have to pay a deposit amount as per the approved electricity tariff for temporary connections. MSEDCL has encouraged mandals to pay the deposit online, assuring that the amount—excluding the electricity bill—will be refunded promptly after Ganeshotsav.
